Meet the Founder
Lee is a highly experienced ecologist with over 20 years’ experience of delivering ecology services under Natural England protected species licences.
Lee is a Level 2 licensed bat ecologist, with over 16 years’ experience undertaking bat roost assessments and surveys on a wide range of structures, from small buildings to large and complex sites.
He has developed particular expertise in water vole, holding a Developers Class Licence (CL31) and authorisation under the Environment Agency Organisational Class Licence. Previously, Lee acted as Technical Lead within a large multi-disciplinary consultancy, supporting major infrastructure projects across England with licensing and mitigation advice.
Lee also has extensive experience working with badgers, including licensed works involving main setts, and is registered under the Badger Class Licence (CL35), enabling fast tracked licensing for sett interference. He holds additional protected species licences and is trained and experienced in delivering Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments.
Alongside survey and licensing work, Lee regularly undertakes the ECoW role, working closely with contractors on construction sites. He is particularly skilled at managing complex, high-pressure site environments and ensuring works remain compliant with ecological legislation.
Outside of work, Lee likes to spend time outdoors
